The standards we hold ourselves to

Governance

How we conduct ourselves, and the commitments behind every bar we make.

Last updated June 2026

Good governance is not a document we file away. It is the quiet discipline that shapes how we source, how we sell, and how we treat the people and the planet we depend on. These are the principles we are accountable to.

01

Data Protection

We treat personal data as a responsibility, not an asset. Botanic Bath complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and we apply the same standards wherever our customers are based.

Our approach is built on a few simple commitments:

  • We collect only the data we genuinely need, for clearly stated purposes.
  • We hold a lawful basis for every form of processing we carry out.
  • We protect data with encryption, access controls, and regular review.
  • We honour your rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to withdraw consent at any time.

Full detail is set out in our Privacy Policy. You can review or change your cookie choices at any time through Cookie Preferences in the website footer.

02

Code of Ethics

We believe a brand is only as trustworthy as its conduct when no one is watching. Our code of ethics holds everyone at Botanic Bath, and everyone who works with us, to a shared standard of integrity.

  • Honesty in what we say. We describe our products plainly and avoid exaggerated or misleading claims.
  • Fairness in how we act. We treat customers, colleagues, and partners with respect, and we compete on merit.
  • Transparency in how we operate. We are open about our ingredients, our sourcing, and our limitations.
  • Accountability when we fall short. We listen, we put things right, and we learn.
03

Sustainability

Sustainability is woven into how we make things, not added on afterwards. We work to reduce our environmental footprint across the full life of a product, from the oils we choose to the box it arrives in.

  • Responsibly sourced, plant-based ingredients, selected with care.
  • Recyclable, minimal packaging, with plastic reduced wherever practical.
  • Small-batch, traditional methods that limit waste and energy use.
  • A commitment to measure, review, and improve year on year.

You can read more about the values behind our craft on our Our Principles page.

04

Modern Slavery

Botanic Bath has zero tolerance for slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chain. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships, in line with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

  • We expect every supplier to uphold these same standards, and to be able to show it.
  • We carry out proportionate due diligence on the partners we source from, and we favour long-term, transparent relationships.
  • We reserve the right to review supplier practices, and to end any relationship where these standards are not met.

Any concern about modern slavery connected to our business can be raised in confidence at contact@botanicbath.com.

05

Anti-Corruption and Bribery

We conduct business honestly and without corruption of any kind. Botanic Bath operates a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and complies with the UK Bribery Act 2010.

  • We never offer, give, solicit, or accept bribes or improper payments.
  • We do not make facilitation payments to secure or speed up routine actions.
  • Gifts and hospitality must be reasonable, transparent, and never intended to influence a decision improperly.
  • We keep accurate records, and we expect our partners to operate to the same standard.

Suspected bribery or corruption can be reported confidentially to contact@botanicbath.com. We will treat every report seriously and without retaliation.
